THE SCRIPT for BestFest America’s 48 Hours of Madness school team competition in March 2011
WHAT: Create an original screenplay (4-
FORMAT: All screenplays MUST be written using standard screenplay format (this includes fonts, style, indents and spacing … click here for examples) and submitted in PDF, or Microsoft Word/RTF or Final Draft (hard copy and/or electronic).
GUIDELINES: Screenplays MUST follow these guidelines or they will receive lower scores:
Length: 4-
Cast: No more than 4 main characters (speaking roles).
Rating: PG-
Story: Dramatic story with no other genre-
Location: Any and all locations are to be set in a private home.

JUDGING: As with all BestFest America student film entries, each Writer will receive judges’ (who are screenwriters) comments and scores on their entry with emphasis on:
PRIZE: The winner will receive $100 in cash, have their script interpreted up to 40 different ways by student filmmaking teams, and receive complimentary passes to the 2011 “48 Hours of Madness” screening on Sunday March 27, 2011 and to the festival later in the year Transportation and lodging not included.
