Myrl Schreibman
Producer-Director, UCLA Professor
Myrl Schreibman is an award winning director and producer and Professor at the acclaimed UCLA School of  Theater Film and Television, which is  known for training such luminaries as Francis Ford Coppola, Paul Schrader and Alexander Payne.  The directors of such movies as, Annapolis,  The Fast and the Furious 2,  Real Women Have Curves and American Zombie all received their directorial training under his watchful eye.

His credits as a producer and director includes the Emmy Awards and  episodic and multiple camera television as well as  feature films.  His classic  movies "Hunters Blood", "The Clonus Horror" and "The Girl, the Gold Watch and Everything" have all received recognition and awards. In fact, “Hunter’s Blood” is the subject of several chapters in the college text on horror films, Men, Women and Chainsaws, Modern Horror Film Genres. He has produced and directed numerous documentaries, as well as being recognized for his directorial work on Broadway, where he was the creative producer of the stage production of "On the Waterfront" and director of the “Ice Show” at the Palace Theater.

Myrl is the author of "The Indie Producer's Handbook, Creative Producing From A to Z" which is the definitive book on producing which has been translated into Chinese and is used at the Bejing Film Academy (where he is schedule to lecture in September of this year.) His new book "The Film Director Prepares, a Practical Guide to Directing Film and Television" is being used at many colleges and universities in the United States.
